Theme Challenge -Holiday Drinks -CCT03

Today's card is for the holiday themed challenge over at Christmas Card Throwdown where the cards are Christmas-y all year long...the theme this time is "Drinks" and what could be better than a holiday latte?

While the layout is similar to a card I made for a coffee lovers hop earlier, this card was made with my daughter in mind -she was a Barista all through college and was born on Christmas Eve!

I used patterned paper from an old, but treasured holiday paper collection from Basic Grey, sage green card stock and white pearl shimmer paper. Coloring was done with Spectrum Noir alcohol marker pens and the diecut snowflakes are accented with glitter. Some silver embossing powder and simple paper piecing complete the design.

  1. I like the bold colors of your card, and all the textures, the snowflake just ties everything together so nice. We have a couple things in common.. I too chose to make a mug card for the challenge, and I also have a Christmas time baby, our daughter is an adult now too. Time sure does fly by. Happy Stamping.

  5. That's a perfect card for your barista daughter! I couldn't help but grin - I have that same Basic Grey reindeer designer paper and have never figured out a good use for it! Maybe I'll give it a try now. :) Thanks for sharing your card with us at CCT! :)
