You can check it out and participate here: http://atlanticheartschallenge.blogspot.com/
Your creation doesn't have to even be a card -we just need to be able to see the sketch in use on your project -come join us and play along! We'd love to have you!

Today's card was made using the inspiration of Sketch #224 @ Atlantic Hearts and will also be entered @ ABC Christmas Challenge for "R for Red" and @ Mod Squad for "The Wings the Thing".
Starting with an A2 red card base, I gathered a sheet of vellum with a white swirl pattern, white cardstock and red Velvet paper. The Angel stamp set is a long retired one from Stampin' Up!
I stamped in Memento Black ink and then colored with light toned Spectrum Noir markers....as you can see from my color chart, I do not yet own all the marker colors so I have to make due with what I currently do have. I also used the clear Wink of Stella marker over the angel's wings to add a beautiful shimmer that catches the light when you tilt the card just right!
I love incorporating stencils into unique backgrounds on my cards. This is a new one that I just got from STAMPlorations and it's called Stained Glass. It was perfect to get a heavenly feel by sponging gold ink around the angel on this piece.
I then stamped and embossed the sentiment in Red powder on a white scrap that I hand trimmed into a banner shape according to the sketch and backed it with a black glitter paper. Using my paper trimmer, I cut a strip of the velvet paper to attach to the left side of the focal panel.
Everything was layered on the card front using my ATG gun except for the banner that was attached with mini foam pop dots.
Inside, I stamped a simple Merry Christmas from TAC and sponged some gold ink over it for a soft, subtle shimmer.
Until next time~
Beautiful card beautifully colored. Wonderful embossed background as well. Great take on the challenge, thanks so much for playing along this week over at The Mod Squad.
