Lettuce Be Friends...

Today's design team project with Atlantic Hearts was a fun one to make using a brand new stamp set from Gerda Steiner called Wheek, Wheek, Wheek. (If you have ever had Guinea Pigs as pets, you will know what that is all about, lol!!!)

I stamped and watercolored all the images and then cut them out using my Scan N Cut machine...layered the lettuce leaves in a circle image around the piggie and popped some up with mini foam dots.

I used my new Triple Banner punch from Stampin Up! to make the sentiment banner and after stamping the sentiment in Versafine black ink I traced over it using a clear sparkle gel pen. A few sequins added the final perfect touch.

Until next time~

My Spring Coffee Lover's Blog Hop Entry #1

Today's card with Craftin' Desert Divas is my first project submission for the Spring/Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop.

This Chibi Coffee digi stamp is part of the new coffee collection over at CDD. I colored it up using colored pencils with clear Spectrum Noir Glitter pen over the top.

The background was embossed and sanded then splashed with FSJ Silver Silk. I added a few layers for texture and heat embossed the "Hi!" sentiment from the Say It Big stamp set. Topped it off with a few teal sequins from the Emerald Isle Sequin pack and I was done!

That's it for me today -please consider joining us for and playing along with the Coffee Lover's Blog Hop~

Oh Baby -A Shower Card

Today's design team project with Craftin' Desert Divas is a fun Shutter Card I made using a template from Hot Off The Press, Hello Little One digital stamp and the "Oh Baby" sentiment from this Simply Said Clear Stamp Set.

All coloring was done with my Chameleon colored pencils and a Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen.

Both of the soft green patterned papers are from long ago in my paper stash

To make a card like this, you do need a 12 x 12 sheet of card stock to cut your card base from and then it fits in a larger than standard envelope...not quite a 5 x 7 once it's done.

I went with the giraffe image since she's using a jungle theme in her nursery...I hope she likes the card as much as I did while I was making it, lol. Oh, and my new phone takes AWESOME photos -whew! Until next time~

Let's Celebrate, Party Girl

Today's card with Lemon shortbread Digital Stamps was a fun one to make using the Party Girl Digi stamp from Lemon Shortbread and a center step pop up card template from Hot Off The Press.

I will also be entering it @  Aurora Wings for "Joyous Occasions", @ Star In My Pocket for "2 or More Patterned Papers", @ DL ART for "Birthday", @ Crafting with Dragonflies for "Birthday Card" and @ Allsorts Challenge for "Happy Birthday".

I colored this little cutie up with Prisma Colored pencils on white cardstock.

The sentiment is a stacked diecut from Spellbinders and the patterned paper is from my stash and probably about a decade old, lol.

That's all for me today...I've been having trouble with my phone and it's camera...it was well past time for a new one anyway! But now that it's been replaced over the weekend, all I have to do is figure out how to operate the new one, lol! Wish me luck~ until next time...happy crafting!

Old Oak Birthday

Today's design team project for Atlantic Hearts uses sketch #264 and one of the oldest stamp sets in my stash...the always classic "Lovely as a Tree".

I  kept everything simple so that the focus would remain on that majestic tree!

The patterned paper is from Creative Memories from many years ago. The tan background I just made using the small leaf stamp and some brown ink. The sentiment is heat embossed in white.

That's it for me today -until next time~

Peonies Bouquet Anniversary Card

Today's design team project is my first for the monthly moodboard challenge over on the Crafting Desert Divas Gallery FB page...come join us for a chance to win some prizes!

The Peonies Bouquet digital stamp image sure is a gorgeous one! I loved coloring it up using my watercolor crayons and then blending it out with a waterbrush.

Fun little details were added using Glossy Accents on the sentiment, berries and flower centers along with some iridescent glitter.

Until next time~

Toadstool Princess

Today's design team project was created for Lemon Shortbread Digital Stamps using the Toadstool Princess digi stamp. Many of Vera's images are so whimsical and this little princess is no exception! I will be entering her @ Paper Nest Dolls for "May Challenge", @ Star Stampz for "Hand Colored Image", @ Craft Rocket Challenges for " Use Embellishments", @  Dragonfly Dreams for "Here Come the Girls" and @ Dream Valley Challenge for "Add Ribbon and/or Lace".

Since purple and green are my two favorite colors, I really enjoyed coloring her up with my colored pencils. I chose the background papers to compliment along with my embellishments. Once again, my Scan N Cut machine came through and did the fussy cutting for me beautifully!

 Until next time~

Mermazing Holiday Wishes

Today's post is for Happy Little Stampers and I used this cute little Mermaid scene that was pieced together using digital stamps from Craftin' Desert Divas.

This is a 5 x 7 card and has quite a few layers. The images were all colored with pencils and light blue ink was blended onto the background.

The biggest challenge was placing all the clam-shell presents in the background...much easier to do that with physical stamps vs digital stamps in the humble opinion of this non computer savvy person, lol.  I then muted the background by adding a layer of patterned vellum over top and popping up that top layer using foam tape for dimension.

So, another card down to add to my holiday card stash...how are your holiday cards coming along?
Until next time~
