Crafting Forever - Housework Whenever!!!

Today's design team post for Lemon Shortbread Digital stamps was made on a 5" x 7" white card base and uses Painter Artist Girl from the Lemon Shortbread Etsy Store. I will be entering her for "Anything Goes" @ the following challenges...Dare2BArtzy, Lil' Patch of Crafty Friends, Catch the Bug, Creative Fingers,  and Polkadoodles

To make the background, I used a splatter stamp set from Close To My Heart along with some Sparkle Silk from Fun Stamper's Journey.

The sentiment is from Stampin' Up and I sponged on some blue ink around the edges after cutting it apart. The holographic oval behind the artist is from a paper pack made by Die Cuts with a View. I colored her up first with Spectrum Noir markers and then layered in some depth and shading using Prismacolor Pencils.

Until next time...

Hey Hedgie!

Today's design team post with Lemon Shortbread Digital Stamps using Hedgehog Leaves was a fun change of pace from summer themed cards!

The background papers all came from Stampin' Up and the card base is a 5 x 7. Coloring was done using a mixture of Spectrum Noir markers with Prismacolor pencils over the top. Accents with a Star Dust gel pen finished everything off nicely. The light blue background was done with decorator chalk and distress ink along the edges.

Until next time~

OWL Always Love You!

Today's design team blog post with Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge was a fun way to take out some stencils that were in need of love!

First, I matched my inks to the cardstock colors and then used a feather stencil on the  sea foam background. On the kraft layer I went with the circle pattern and on the peacock blue I layered two different stencils -both the tree rings and the paint splotches.

The owl and sentiment are from a cute stamp set from CTMH and I stamped using Memento ink so that I could color with Spectrum Noir markers.

We are headed to the beach here for a few days, so.....
Until next time~

Mermazing Waves

Today's design team project is a 5 x 7 size card with Lemon Shortbread digital stamps and uses Mermaid Waving along with alot of die cuts and even some dry embossing!

I will also be entering her @ Di's Digi Challenge for "Summer Fun", @ Allsorts Challenge for "Use at Least 2 Dies", @ Dragonfly Dreams for "Anything Goes", @ Crafting From the Heart for "Anything Goes" and @ My Creative Scoop for "Color Inspiration Link Up #35".

I first colored her up with my Spectrum Noir markers and then did some layering over top with colored pencils. I highlighted her jewelry with a sparkly gel pen and added some shimmer over her tail and hair with a Wink of Stella clear marker.

I used a wave embossing folder on two different colors of jade cardstock, sanded it and then fussy cut around the edges. I die cut all the tropical plants from Spellbinders to resemble under the sea plants to coordinate with the beautiful patterned paper I found in my stash and layered everything on.

Until next time~

Old Oak Birthday

Today's design team project for Atlantic Hearts uses sketch #264 and one of the oldest stamp sets in my stash...the always classic "Lovely as a Tree".

I  kept everything simple so that the focus would remain on that majestic tree!

The patterned paper is from Creative Memories from many years ago. The tan background I just made using the small leaf stamp and some brown ink. The sentiment is heat embossed in white.

That's it for me today -until next time~

Just A Walkin' the Dog...

Today's design team project is with Lemon Shortbread Digital Stamps. I will also be entering her @ Tic Tac Toe Card Challenge  for #044 (using the far right vertical row...add dimension -ink -patterned paper),
@ Dragonfly Dreams for "Pink", @ Di's Digi Challenge for "Add An Animal", @ Simply Create Too for "Use Die Cuts" and @ Double "D" Challenges for @ "Friendship".

The focal image is this cute little Dog Walker and I colored her up using Spectrum Noir markers with some colored pencil highlights.

I used several die cuts...both from cardstock and chipboard. The chipboard pieces I inked up directly with ink pads and mounted with skinny foam tape.

Until next time~

Pet Shop Planner

Today's project is my weekly planner spread with Craftin' Desert Divas.

To complete this adorable layout, I used two digital stamp sets...the Planner Basic Bundle and Pet Shop.

I used patterned paper from my stash and colored all the images with colored pencils.

I printed my digis on sticker paper, colored the "To Do" and "Weekend" stickers using markers and then cut them out using my Scan N Cut.

That's it for me today...until next time~

Blooming Bunny

Today's post for Craftin' Desert Divas uses the new digital stamp set called Spring Friends and the new Blooming Tree stencil...both were just released to the CDD shop last Friday!

The flowers were cut using the Crazy Stitched Frames die set -along with the front card layer with the tree on it. The sequins are from Pastel Paradise. The "Get Well" stamp came from the "Say It Big" stamp set but the rest of the sentiment came from an old Stampin' Up set.

I traced the tree through the stencil with a thick black Pigma pen and then colored it in with Spectrum Noir markers - highlights were done with pencils. The bunny and tulips were colored using Chameleon colored pencils, cut out and popped up using foam tape.

This card went out in Saturday's mail to hopefully brighten someone's day. That's it for me today...until next time~

Celebrate Love

Today's design team post uses the sketch from Atlantic Hearts and will also be entered @ Just Add Ink for "Just Add Something New", @ Alphabet Challenge for "V for Vellum", @ heARTful Stamping for "Anything Goes + a Stamp" and @ 613 Avenue Create for "Anything Goes/ Something New".

This card is a 5 x 7 size and the dry embossing was done using a reversible embossing folder from Spellbinders.

The something new that I used for this card is the "Amazing You" stamp set that I just got FREE from Stampin' Up during their Sale-A-Bration sale going on now until the end of March...for every $50 you spend you get something for free! ( Click on the sale brochure to the right on my blog for more info!) The flower and the sentiment on the card front both come from this awesome stamp set. The flowers I colored with my Spectrum Noir markers and fussy cut out to layer on the card front.

The gold glitter enamel dots are self adhesive, came from CTMH and made the perfect accent for the card front.
The inside sentiment comes from an Anniversary sentiments set from MSE, but the half circle blue burst is from the free set from Stampin Up that I mentioned above.

You may recognize that the green leaves dieut frame is from the December Paper Pumpkin kit...I used it in this card here last week too, but it looks completely different! The sentiment was stamped on Vellum in black pigment ink and then heat embossed using holographic powder, so it shimmers and changes color when moved around in the light -very pretty in person!!!

Until next time~
